GOES-R Data Operations Manager and Team Lead for Product Readiness & Operations (PRO)
Matthew Seybold is the GOES-R Data Operations Manager and Team Lead for Product Readiness & Operations (PRO). He is responsible for the Science Products and Data Services for GOES-16 and the future GOES-S/T/U. Although he is embedded with the GOES-R Program at NASA Goddard, Matt’s home organization is the NESDIS Office of Satellite & Product Operations (OSPO) based out of NCWCP in College Park, MD and NSOF in Suitland, MD. His past experience includes serving as an OSPO User Services Coordinator and a Product Area Lead for tropical and air quality satellite applications. Previous to joining NOAA, Matthew worked at the Maryland Department of the Environment as the Division Chief for Air Quality Monitoring, Modeling, and Analysis and as an operational air quality forecaster. Matthew holds a M.S. in Atmospheric Science from N.C. State and B.S. degrees in Physical Sciences and Geography from the University of Maryland.
